Since 2011, Stealth Belt has earned recognition in the ostomy community for providing security, comfort, and style to people who wear ostomy or urostomy pouches and belts. Founded by a patient with a stoma, the company began as a small business, with each belt custom-made to meet individual needs.

In 2016, the founder sold 75% of Stealth Belt to an LLC controlled by Chris Sperry and Ryan Stoll, two close friends who believed strongly in the product’s potential. Chris, an ostomy patient, used Stealth Belt while competing in endurance events, including an Ironman triathlon. Under Chris and Ryan’s leadership, the company grew significantly.

Chris passed away in 2020, and Ryan unexpectedly passed away in 2021. During that difficult period, their families entrusted the founder with day-to-day management while they grieved. To honor Chris and Ryan’s legacy, Ryan’s wife, Cilla Stoll, along with Chris’s widow, Carol, and other family and friends, continued to support Stealth Belt’s mission.

In fall 2024, the majority shareholder launched a series of changes to strengthen the company’s financial and operational performance. The shareholder approved a new Board of Directors with two new members and two LLC representatives, and the founder stepped down from the Board. After a comprehensive review, the Board made several investments and leadership changes, including appointing a new president. Jim Moss, a lifelong friend of Chris and Ryan’s, became president and, alongside Cilla, Carol, and the Stealth Belt team, worked with stakeholders to reinforce the company’s commitment to operational excellence, outstanding customer service, financial stability, innovation, and transparency. Today, Stealth Belt is proud to be recognized as the leading ostomy belt company in the market.

In February 2025, we launched a new, more efficient website at stealthbelt.org, marking another step in our ongoing improvements. We also adopted Shopify as our customer-facing sales platform because it offers industry-leading scalability and a user-friendly shopping experience. Throughout 2025 and 2026, Stealth Belt expanded its teams in fulfillment, customer service, and ostomy nurse support. We also renewed our commitment to a production platform that enables us to offer an unprecedented range of custom belts. This expansive range helps us meet the unique needs of ostomates in the general population and strengthens our position as the preferred provider of ostomy belts to America’s veterans through our exclusive relationship with the Veterans Administration. Most recently, we added ostomates to our staff to ensure we continue delivering the best possible experience, along with products and guidance that help our customers Go Anywhere, Do Anything.
