Horizontal Wear

Horizontal wear of the Stealth Belt is when the ostomy bag is worn inside of the belt horizontally, with the tail end of the bag pointing toward the hip.

This leads the ostomy bag away from the belly button, providing an out-of-sight, out-of-mind type of feel. It's also beneficial for someone who does alot of bending, exercise, or movement at the hip.

All appliances can be worn horizontally to fit a horizontal Stealth Belt.

Simply turn the wafer horizontally for a 2-piece appliance, or apply the adhesive horizontally for a 1-pience appliance.

Key benefits of Horizontal Wear:

  • Convenient for exercise / pool use
  • Less material makes for a more streamlined feel
  • No need to tuck the appliance under belts or waistbands
  • Seat belts in cars and airplanes are more confortable

Vertical Wear

Vertical wear of the Stealth Belt is when the ostomy bag is worn inside of the belt vertically, with the tail end of the bag pointing downward toward the floor.

This is the way nearly all providers apply the ostomy appliance after surgery.

The Vertical Style offers all the same protection, support, and discretion as the Horizontal Style.

Key benefits of Vertical Wear:

  • Easier access to empty
  • Wear your appliance in the vertical position you're accustomed to
  • Preferred by patients with urostomies or watery-output
  • Preferred by patients with high-output appliances
